Fewer cases of autism and allergies in unvaccinated children

A peer-reviewed study published this month in the Journal of Translational Science found that children who were fully or partially vaccinated were diagnosed with autism, severe allergies, gastrointestinal disorders, asthma, recurrent ear infections, and ADD/ADHD more often than children who were not fully vaccinated. .

The study also showed that there was a protective effect against these disorders when children were unvaccinated and breastfed for a minimum of six months, or unvaccinated and delivered vaginally.

The study, “Health effects in vaccinated versus unvaccinated children, with covariates for breastfeeding status and type of birth,” is based on a cohort of 1565 children from three U.S. medical practices.

Within the three practices, parents completed questionnaires based on their children’s vaccination status and health. The results of the questionnaires were confirmed using chart records from each practice.

According to the study:
“The findings of this study should be compared with the strengths and limitations of the available data and study design. Additional research using a larger sample of diverse medical practices will produce greater certainty in the results, essential to understanding the full extent of the health effects associated with childhood vaccination.”

The research adds to a growing body of literature demonstrating that unvaccinated children are healthier. Hooker and Miller (2020), Lyons-Weiler and Thomas (2021), and Mawson et al. have previously published similar studies . (2017).

“This study provides another very important piece of evidence regarding the overall health of vaccinated versus unvaccinated children,” said coauthor Brian S. Hooker, Ph.D., PE, professor of biology at Simpson University.

“It is imperative that health officials take this research seriously for the best protection of children in the U.S. AND around the world,” Hooker said.

Hooker said that given the results of the study, “it is imperative” that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention open its own Vaccine Safety Data Link to independent researchers so that additional studies on the effect of the entire infant and child vaccination schedule can be determined .
